Windows 11 outlook envelope icon not appearing when receiving new email could be due to “Show Badges on taskbar apps” being turn off.

Below steps are based on Windows 11 22h2 (OS Build 22621.3737)
Following the instructions below to enable “Show Badges on taskbar apps“.
Step 1: Click on the “Start” button located at the bottom left hand corner.
Step 2: Click on the “Setting” icon.
Step 3: Click on “Personalization” from the left navigation panel.
Step 4: Click on “Taskbar” from the right navigation panel.
Step 5: Scroll down the right panel and click on “Taskbar behaviors”.
Step 6: Click on “Show Badges on taskbar apps” checkbox to enable.
Step 7: Once the “Show Badges on taskbar apps” checkbox are checked, outlook envelope will appear when you receive new email.
